Daily Journal Continued October19,1998, By-William Thomas Thompson Dear Lord,make us faithful and true to our families and You. It is blueMonday morning and I need to pray,the temptation of the wrong food is getting in my way. From a veryhigh to a verylow,all as things seem to go. I want to see the book again but it is gone out on loan,I want to see it every day to lift my spirit and make me to paint and say,the world needs the message printed inside. I need to see my work to encourage me. Mymother and dearsister came over tovisit yesterday afternoon and to set outside under the old oak tree in the sunshine but it turned cooler with a wind blowing and begin to cloud up. Mother was cool,so we came inside. October is the month we get frost here but not yet,it is the rain in Tex-as that was forecast to come but it seems to be stalled over Tex- as and has dumped 25inches of rain in central Texas breaking all records and flooding even higher ground. Two hurricanes are on a path for the westcoast of Mexico causing a rare weather condition over the big bad state of Texas with the son of a skull and cross bones man as governor. I believe God is telling Texas to repent. Make us smart in all that we do,may we always magnify You. I moved the bus this morning to Gene's Bus Service where her son Robby will fix the governor so it will run faster. We had tried a number of times to start the bus but failed even last Friday when my good friend Mark Mulfinger was going to drive it. This was the morning it was to start and I drove it onto the 4lane with a left turn by the old grocery store building on to a short cut the back way down across the railroad tracts and a narrow bridge then up a steep hill to wind around and cross Poinsett highway to the shop. All the things I hoped wouldnot happen did. The first turn was so tight,I hoped no cars would be at that stopsign but there was two there when I arrived,I missed them and cleared the brick building also. I had hoped I would get the greenlight at the Poinsett cro- ssing but it was red and I had to stop,God never promised to make our way easy but He has promised to go with us and give us grace. Mat.24-11"And many falseprophets shall rise,and shall deceive" Another bomb explosion in Israel. Since 1948 the Israel state has been at war with their brother Arabs. We havepaid for their peace but got no peace and there will be no peace in this place of war. Our travels to Israel during the 70's was guns and war after they had the 1967battle to takeback OldJerusalem from Jordan up to the Jordanriver and the deadsea. Stock piles of Russian war materials lined the road to Jerusalem on both sides for as far as one could see in all directions and land mines were still buried along that road. Tension was high and it was unsafe to travel. Surely we can see no peace for Israel or the Arabs as their masters through the religion of Islam will send them to war of the world to fight all farandnear for no real reason at all other than being born to do. I feel this is the last days the Bible speaks of to come. Bill Clinton looking like death and aged from all the stress with getting no sleep from all the heap,is showing nerve damage like I see him shaking on T.V.even as little as I see. No man can live a lifelike this without it telling on him so all the world can see. There is trouble and it cannot be contained. The world is explod-ing and the dollar is falling but not directly.
